1. Acceptance of terms
By using this website or booking a consultation, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Nature of the service
GLP-1 Weight Loss provides access to consultations with HPCSA-registered medical practitioners for the purposes of weight management assessment and treatment, where clinically appropriate. The service includes eligibility screening, doctor consultation, prescription where appropriate, lab form provision, and ongoing health coach support.
This service does not replace your relationship with your regular treating doctor. It does not provide emergency medical care. It does not replace in-person physical examination, which the prescribing doctor may require if clinically necessary.
3. Eligibility
The service is available to adults aged 18 and over who are residents of South Africa. Treatment is provided at the discretion of the prescribing doctor based on individual clinical assessment. Not all users who request treatment will be deemed eligible.
4. Fees and payment
The programme fee of R495 is payable at the point of booking the consultation and covers the services described on the pricing page. The fee does not include the cost of the medication itself, which is purchased separately at your chosen pharmacy, or the cost of laboratory tests, which is payable to your pathology lab.
Repeat consultations for existing patients are charged at R295.
Fees are quoted in South African Rand and include applicable taxes.
5. Refund policy
If after completing your consultation the doctor determines that GLP-1 therapy is not clinically appropriate for you, the consultation fee will be fully refunded. Refunds are processed within 7 working days.
If you cancel before your consultation has taken place, the fee is refundable less a 10 percent administrative charge.
Refunds are not available after the consultation has been completed and a treatment plan has been provided, regardless of whether you choose to fill the prescription.
6. Medical disclaimer

GLP-1 therapy is not suitable for everyone. The decision to prescribe rests with the consulting doctor based on individual clinical assessment.

7. Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information during eligibility screening and consultation
- Disclose all current medications, allergies, and relevant medical history
- Follow the treatment plan as prescribed, or discuss any deviations with your doctor
- Report any concerning symptoms or side effects promptly
- Attend recommended follow-up appointments and blood tests
- Not share your prescription with anyone else
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GLP-1 Weight Loss is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service.
This limitation does not apply to liability for personal injury or death caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited under South African law.
9. Intellectual property
The content of this website, including articles, design, code, and branding, is the property of GLP-1 Weight Loss. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.
10. Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to existing patients. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the province where the service is provided.
